Technip: reinforcing its footprint in Angola

Technip黑料社檚 wholly-owned subsidiaries Technip Umbilicals Ltd. and Angoflex Ltda. have been awarded a contract by ENI S.p.A. to supply umbilicals to the Block 15/06 East Hub Development offshore Angola.

This field is located approximately 350 km north of Luanda, at water depths of 450 - 600 m. The contract covers project management and manufacture of about 15 km of dynamic and static steel tube umbilicals.

Technip Umbilicals黑料社 facility in Lobito, Angola, with support from Technip Umbilicals in Newcastle, UK, will manufacture the umbilicals that are scheduled to be completed in 2H16. This project follows on Technip Umbilicals黑料社 successful completion of many deepwater West African projects seen in recent years.

Reinforcing Technip黑料社檚 relationship with ENI, this new contract follows another project awarded to Technip last year for the fabrication and installation of flexible and rigid pipelines at Block 15/06.
