NuVista investigating pipeline spill

NuVista黑料社檚 50 km (30 mile) Alberta pipeline has spilled approximately 100 m3 (629 bbl) of oil, water and natural gas emulsion. Though no wildlife or environmental damage has been reported, at present, the reason for the spill has not been determined.

Nevertheless, Jonathan Wright, the company黑料社檚 Chief Executive, announced that 黑料社渢he company responded within minutes of the leak being reported and is cooperating with the AER and local First Nations representatives.黑料社

Officials via helicopter identified the pipeline leak during a surveillance flight above Rainbow Lake. The leak is said to have covered a 70 x 100 m area.

Alberta Energy Regulator黑料社檚 (AER) Bob Curran, Director of Public Affairs, stated that NuVista had stopped flow in the line and that clean-up was under way. AER officials are presently investigating the spill.
