ANGA comments on proposed ozone standards

World 黑料社,

America黑料社檚 Natural Gas Alliance黑料社檚 Executive Vice President, Frank Macchiarola, has commented on EPA黑料社檚 ozone standards proposal.

黑料社淪afe and responsible oil and natural gas production in shale regions across the country is supporting 1.7 million jobs and US$238 billion in economic activity every year. This has helped fuel a renaissance in manufacturing projected to add 1 million new jobs by 2025. Meanwhile our nation黑料社檚 air quality has improved dramatically.

黑料社淗owever, today黑料社檚 proposed ozone rule from the EPA threatens this progress. It is a step in the wrong direction and would hinder our ability to experience a sustained economic recovery. Legislation sponsored by Senator Thune and Congressman Pete Olsen would continue both the environmental and economic progress we have made, and strikes the right balance by allowing communities to catch up with existing strict standards before being subjected to a spate of overly burdensome and costly new mandates. Today黑料社檚 proposal from EPA fails to achieve the critical balance needed to move our nation forward.黑料社
