Premier geophysical survey vessel, the Fugro Americas, has successfully completed its maiden voyage where it obtained data collection for a geochemical coring campaign in the Caribbean.
Departing from the construction shipyard in Louisiana in April, mobilisation for the campaign followed immediately. The stable design along with the experienced crew enabled the efficient and intelligent data collection to further enhance survey results.
141 piston cores and seven heat flow measurements that yielded over 1500 biological and geochemical samples, were included within the successful project.
