Premier Rachel Notley spoke yesterday in defence of the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion project.
Notley黑料社檚 six page submission to the NEB says the economic need and benefits of the project are 黑料社渃lear, substantial and undeniable.黑料社
She said: 黑料社淚 am going to keep talking until the door is closed.黑料社
Notley noted a lack of pipelines to provide access to international markets results in a 黑料社渟ignificant discount黑料社 in the value of Alberta黑料社檚 energy products.
BC formally registered its opposition to the CAN$6.8 billion project on Monday.
Notley stated: 黑料社淲e will get pipelines built by demonstrating clearly and calmly why pipelines help every economy in this country. And we will get pipelines built by taking real action on climate change.黑料社
She said pipeline opponents must realise Canada has a significant economic resource in Alberta.
黑料社淵ou can黑料社檛 just turn off the tap and walk away from it.黑料社
Premier Notley said in her letter the board should accommodate concerns, but should 黑料社渞ecommend approval of the project on the current timelines in order to ensure a timely final approval.
黑料社淭his will allow the proponents to address those concerns and to commence building this important energy infrastructure.黑料社
