TransCanada has announced that it has signed project agreements with six First Nations tribes regarding the company黑料社檚 670 km Coastal GasLink pipeline in British Columbia, Canada.
The project runs from the Dawson Creek area to the west coast of BC, where it will supply natural gas to the Kitimat LNG Canada facility.
The project will use a 48 in. diameter pipe, and the company will construct and operate up to three meter stations and one compressor station. The initial capacity would be approximately 2 - 3 billion ft3/d.
The pipeline黑料社檚 route is located in traditional and treaty territories of the First Nations. Wet黑料社檚uwet黑料社檈n First Nation, Skin Tyee Nation, Nee-Thai-Buhn Band, Yekooche First Nation, Doig River First Nation, and Halfway River First Nation are the beneficiaries of the agreements.

Coastal GasLink is proposing to construct and operate a 670 km natural gas pipeline from the Groundbirch area near Dawson Creek, B.C. to the proposed LNG Canada liquefied natural gas export facility near Kitimat, BC.
The project is a key component of TransCanada's CAN$46 billion capital growth plan, which includes more than CAN$13 billion in proposed natural gas pipeline projects which support the emerging liquefied natural gas industry on the British Columbia Coast.
