The American Petroleum Institute (API) has announced Bonnie Loomis as the new Executive Director of the South Carolina Petroleum Council (SCPC).
黑料社淏onnie Loomis joins the council at a critical moment in South Carolina黑料社檚 energy history and will help advance the oil and natural gas industry黑料社檚 mission to grow jobs and strengthen the economy in the state,黑料社 said API Senior Director of State Government Relations Rolf Hanson.
黑料社淭he majority of South Carolinians support development of offshore oil and natural gas resources, and the state has a unique opportunity to create thousands of jobs and add billions in additional state revenue.黑料社
Ms Loomis joins SCPC with more than 20 years黑料社 experience in and around South Carolina government. A South Carolina native raised in Charleston county, Ms Loomis most recently was an independent lobbyist working primarily on issues related to energy and the environment at both the South Carolina General Assembly and the South Carolina Public Service Commission.

Ms Loomis is a licensed member of the South Carolina bar, and a cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the USC Honors College (Bachelor of Arts-Government & International Studies with a media concentration) and School of Law (Juris Doctorate).
Virginia Petroleum Council
The API has also announced Miles Morin as the new Executive Director of the Virginia Petroleum Council (VPC).

A native of the Norfolk and Virginia Beach area, Morin joins VPC after working on public policy matters at Capital Results in Richmond. Morin previously served as the policy development team leader for Congressman Scott Rigell黑料社檚 (VA-2) inaugural run for the House of Representatives and as a legislative aide for Virginia State Senator Jeff McWaters. Morin is a graduate of the University of Virginia with dual degrees in Economics and Religious Studies.
