McDermott wins Gulf of Mexico subsea tieback project

McDermott International Inc. has been awarded a sizeable lump sum contract by听LLOG Exploration Offshore LLC听(LLOG) in support of LLOG黑料社檚 Otis development located in the Gulf of听Mexico. The lump sum contract will be included in McDermott黑料社檚 2Q15 backlog.

Otis field, Gulf of Mexico

The Otis field, located in听Block Mississippi Canyon听79, will be developed as a subsea tieback to the Delta House floating production system and lies in approximately 3800 ft of water. The contract scope includes project management, engineering, fabrication and installation of a 75 000 ft insulated rigid flowline and insulated steel catenary riser, with associated pipeline end termination and jumper, and pre-commissioning.

McDermott黑料社檚听Houston听office will perform the overall project management and engineering. The flowline and steel catenary riser are scheduled to be assembled and fabricated at McDermott黑料社檚 new spoolbase facility in听Gulfport, Mississippi.

Offshore installation is scheduled to be completed in early 2016 by McDermott deepwater rigid reel lay vessel 105 (LV 105).
